DJ Premier has revealed that his dad passed away after battling an illness.
Just days ago, DJ Premier put his PRhyme 2 Tour on hold due to his father's sickness.
The legendary Premier put the news on Twitter posting a photo of him holding his father's hand with a caption saying, "A RARE BREED... YOU WAITED FOR US AND YOU TOOK YOUR LAST BREATH PEACEFULL IN YOUR OWN HOME THE WAY YOU WANTED," Preemo wrote. "GLAD WE WERE HERE IN THE HOUSE TO SEE YOU GET YOUR WINGS... LOVE YOU DAD! R.I.P."
DJ Premier didn't reveal exactly what his father battled. RIP to DJ Premier's dad.
