The Library of Congress has added Nas, Kool & The Gang, Louis Armstrong, & more to the National Recording Registry.
The selected records were deemed “worthy of preservation for all time based on their cultural, historical or aesthetic importance in the nation’s recorded sound heritage.”
Nas' Illmatic made the cut, Janet's Rhythm Nation 1814, Kool & the Gang's Celebration, LaBelle's "Lady Marmalade," & more.
