In a joint statement, Cassie, whose legal name is Casandra Ventura, expressed her desire to resolve the matter amicably, thanking her family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support. Diddy echoed sentiments of an amicable resolution, wishing Cassie and her family the best.

Ben Brafman, Combs' attorney, reiterated that settling the lawsuit does not imply admission of wrongdoing. "A decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing," he clarified, emphasizing Diddy's denial of the claims.

The lawsuit detailed disturbing allegations, including physical abuse and sex trafficking, dating back to when Ventura was 19 and Combs was 37. Despite Combs' denial, the legal battle garnered support from at least three artists formerly signed to his record label.
Aubrey O'Day, discovered by Combs on "Making the Band 3," expressed her full support for Cassie, acknowledging the challenges of confronting a powerful figure in the industry. Dawn Richard and Wanita "D. Woods" Woodgett, also of Danity Kane fame, offered prayers and support, commending Cassie's bravery.

In a symbolic move within the music industry, Kesha, known for her legal battles with producer Dr. Luke, altered the lyrics of her hit song "Tik Tok" during a performance in Oakland. Kesha, who typically sang, "Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy," changed the line to "Wake up in the morning feeling just like me." The timing of this lyrical modification coincides with the public discourse surrounding accountability and allegations in the industry.

The 50-year-old, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, confessed to the Daily Mail in March that becoming a grandfather prompted a profound shift in his perspective.

"Being a grandfather has changed me in multiple ways," he revealed.
